Overview

Highlight labels improves the note-taking experience in AlphaSense, empowering users to more effectively distill valuable and relevant insights during your research process.

Now with Highlight labels in AlphasSense, you can annotate Documents by assigning custom labels to different highlight colors to add text-based context to insights they've deemed relevant and highlighted.

Applying Highlights

  • Select a portion of text to highlight

  • Choose from 12 highlight colors

Creating a Label

  • Click “Manage Labels”

  • Input a custom label & attach a highlight color

  • Determine if the label should be Private (only visible to you) or Shared (visible to you and your team)

Editing a Label

To edit any label you created, you'll open the Label Manager, via "Manage Labels", after highlighting a portion of a document

There, you'll have the ability to add new labels, adjust color, and remove labels.

Deleting a Label

Deleting a label does not delete past highlights that use that label. It only removes the mapping from color to label.

Searching by Labels & Colors

  • In the Vertical Filters menu, go to “More Filters” and click on “Highlight Labels” to filter your search on documents that contain a highlight with a specific label.

  • Retrieve back all documents that contain that label.

  • You can also filter by Color.
