What is the Generative Search Library?

The AlphaSense Generative Search Library provides a curated set of prompts designed to help you quickly answer common business and research questions across a variety of workflows.

The Library is a collection of pre-built, customizable prompts that you can use to:

Using Variables in Prompts

Many prompts in the Library include variables, which allow you to quickly customize queries without rewriting them. Common variables include:

{Company}

Replace with a specific company (e.g., NVIDIA, HubSpot, Snowflake)

{Sector} / {Industry}

Use broader market categories (e.g., Semiconductors, SaaS, Healthcare)

{Content Type}

Focus your analysis on specific sources (e.g., Earnings Calls, Broker Research, News, Filings)

Prompt Template:

Summarize recent developments for {Company} based on {Content Type} over the last 30 days.

When you submit a prompt that includes variables, Generative Search will prompt you to define each variable before generating a response.

For example, after submitting the prompt above, you will be asked to specify:

• Company (e.g., HubSpot)
• Content Type (e.g., Earnings Calls, Broker Research, News)

Once these inputs are defined, Generative Search will run the query using your selections and return a tailored response.

This allows you to reuse the same prompt structure across different companies, industries, or content types without rewriting the query each time.
