The Due Diligence Workspace helps deal teams review virtual data room (VDR) content, identify key materials, run AI-powered diligence analysis, and generate outputs for investment committee materials.
The workspace guides you through a structured diligence process: upload deal documents, review the available VDR content, run purpose-built diligence agents, and create outputs you can use in investment memos or follow-up requests.
Follow the steps below to begin:
Step 1: Launch the Due Diligence Card
- Open Generative Search.
- Find the Due Diligence Workspace card under AlphaSense Agents.
Step 2: Upload VDR Documents
- Select the VDR documents you want to analyze.
- Click Add Documents.
Step 3: Review the Live Diligence phase
- Review and Select the agents you want to run.
Step 4: Review the Output Generation Phase
- Review and select the agents you want to run.
Step 5: Create the workspace
- Select Run Agents & View Workspace.
After you complete the setup, the workspace opens automatically. Agents show a loading state while the agents run. When an agent finishes, open the result to review the generated output.
How to Review VDR content
- Open your Due Diligence Workspace.
- Select View under VDR Content Overview.
- Review the document categories, key documents, and coverage summary.
- Review the critical items surfaced for immediate review.
- Review the potential gaps or missing materials.
- Copy the follow-up diligence request list into your own email or working document.
Run diligence agents
- Open your Due Diligence Workspace.
- Go to the live diligence phase.
- Choose one or more diligence agents, such as Business Overview, Customer Overview, or Risks Analysis.
- Run the agent.
- View the output.
- Use the cited documents to drill into the underlying VDR materials.
Create a custom agent
- Open your Due Diligence Workspace.
- Select + New Agent to create a custom agent.
- Enter a clear title, such as Financial Analysis or Competitive Analysis.
- Add instructions that describe the analysis you want the agent to perform.
- Choose the content source.
- Select the diligence phase where the agent belongs.
- Save and run the agent.

Use AlphaSense Workflow Agents in a diligence workspace
- Open your Due Diligence Workspace.
- Select All Workflow Agents to access the Workflow Agent Library from inside the workspace.
- Choose the workflow agent you want to run.
- Run the agent.
- Review the thread inside the workspace.
Use workflow agents when your diligence process requires external or public-company context, such as public comparables, company primers, or market research.
Notes and limitations
- The Due Diligence Workspace is currently accessed from the Due Diligence Workspace card on the GenSearch homepage.
- The prebuilt deal agents are only available inside the Due Diligence Workspace.
- The prebuilt agents rely on ingested VDR content for context.
- Custom agents created in the Due Diligence Workspace remain tied to that workflow.
- The first version focuses on qualitative diligence. Additional financial analytics capabilities may be added over time.
