Deep Research is the next generation of our generative AI suite in AlphaSense, conducting detailed research and producing thorough, lengthy analysis on your behalf.

What is Deep Research?

Deep Research is a mode of Generative Search that is designed to do more iterative research before producing its analysis. It may run 50 or even 100 different searches to develop and execute its research plan, and regularly will cite 100+ sources. This also means it takes a bit longer.

Deep Research solves for that gap by allowing you to:

  • Ask for thorough industry primers, acquisition ideas, competitive landscapes, and more
  • Give Gen Search instructions about the structure and format of the desired output
  • Set & forget it – let the model work for 5-30 minutes while you catch up on other things (or even get up and get a coffee!)

  • See a full log of how the tool formed its research plan, reasoned through different topics and sources, and generated its report—step-by-step 

     

When Would I Turn Deep Research On?

Note: Deep research will take longer than a traditional Gen Search query. Depending on the question, content covered, etc, expect Deep Research questions to take 5-30 minutes. Feel free to ask it, and navigate to other parts of AlphaSense - your analysis will continue to run in the background.
