Get started with Industry Comps and Models here
Overview
Industry Comps & Models is a brand new module within AlphaSense we’re currently testing in beta as we integrate Canalyst’s best-in-class fundamental data into AlphaSense following our acquisition of Tegus earlier this year.
If you’re part of the beta, you’ll find the new module in the left menu:
Industry Comps
You can now access more than 80 industry comp sheets with in-depth industry-specific metrics and KPIs, all built by Canalyst’s team of sector-focused analysts.
On the Industry Comps browse page, you can get a sneak peek at the companies and differentiated metrics and KPIs you’ll find in each comp sheet, like Load Factor and Passenger Mile Yield for Airlines, Occupancy Rate and RevPAR for Hotels, and CAC and Retention Rates for Enterprise SaaS.
You can also search by company or industry and filter by sector to help you more easily find the most relevant comp sheets.
Click into any of our comp sheets to view all of our data, filter to your desired companies, and export to Excel or CSV.
Models
With Models on AlphaSense, you get access to ~4K dynamic company models built by hand by our Vancouver-based analysts.
These are no data sheets—they’re fully-linked, driveable models with verified historicals and the most relevant data a company reports in filings, earnings presentations, supplementals, and press releases.
While you’re on the Company Models tab, you can use the search bar to search for models by company name, ticker, or industry and filter your results by Sector, Region, and Update Type to home in on the models you’re interested in.
You’ll also be able to see the latest models we’ve added to our coverage in our New Models card, as well as whether it was for an IPO announcement or part of our effort to expand coverage and when it was added.
Canalyst Modeling Tools Excel Add-In
As part of the beta, you’ll also get access to the Canalyst Modeling Tools Excel Add-in that lets you enable 1-click model updates to your customized Canalyst model, audit Canalyst model data to the source filing, drop in pre-built valuation and analysis templates like M&A and bull-bear-base, and more.
