Credit Usage Dashboard

The Credit Usage dashboard shows how your organization is spending its AI credit allocation. Use it to track spend against your contract, forecast whether you'll exhaust your credits before renewal, and see usage broken down by user.
This article is for account administrators who monitor AI usage across their organization.

Who can Access the Dashboard

Note: If you have admin access but don't see the dashboard, contact your AlphaSense account team to confirm that AI usage reporting is enabled for your account.

Summary Panel

The Summary panel shows four headline numbers for your current contract period.

Card	What it shows
Credits Used	Credits consumed so far, as a percentage and a count (for example, 25% (2,500 / 10,000))
Remaining Contract Time	Percentage of the contract period left, with the end date (for example, 30%)
Remaining Credits	Credits still available for the rest of the contract period (for example, 7,500)
Contract End Date	The date your credit allocation resets or your contract renews

How to check your pacing: Compare Credits Used against Remaining Contract Time. If you've used a larger share of your credits than of your contract period, your organization is on pace to run out of credits early.

Cumulative and Projected Usage Chart

This chart plots credit consumption over your contract period so you can spot trends and forecast where you'll land.

Series	Line style	Meaning
Cumulative Usage	Solid	Actual credits consumed to date, accumulated month over month
Projected Usage	Dashed	An extrapolation of your current run rate through the end of the contract
Credit Limit	Dashed, horizontal	Your total credit allocation for the contract period

How to forecast your usage:

Locate the point where the Projected Usage line meets the Credit Limit line.
Compare that point to your contract end date.

If the projected line crosses the credit limit before your contract end date, your organization is on pace to exhaust its credits early. Consider adjusting usage or contacting your account team about additional capacity. If the projected line stays below the limit through the end date, you have headroom.

Usage by User Table

The Usage By User table breaks consumption down per person so you can see who is driving spend.

Column	What it shows
User	The name of the user who consumed the credits
Selected Date Usage	Credits that user consumed within the date range you've selected. Sortable.

How to identify your top-consuming users:

Use the date range selector at the top of the table (for example, Last 30 days) to set the window you want to analyze.
Select the Selected Date Usage column header to sort users by consumption in that window.
To find a specific person, enter their name in the search box.
Select Export to download the table for offline reporting, chargeback calculations, or sharing with stakeholders.

System Requirements

The Credit Usage dashboard is a view within the AlphaSense web application. It doesn't require separate installation or configuration beyond admin access and enabled AI usage reporting.

Which AI features count toward my credit usage?

Usage figures reflect credits consumed by GenSearch, ThinkLonger, and DeepResearch. For how each mode is metered, see Credits & Rate Limits.

I'm an admin, but I don't see the dashboard. What should I do?

Contact your AlphaSense account team to confirm that AI usage reporting is enabled for your account.

Can I get this data outside the dashboard?

Yes. The Credit Usage API returns the same data for use in your own systems, reports, or alerts.
