You can quickly search within AlphaSense directly from your Google Chrome browser's address bar by setting up custom site search shortcuts
Prerequisites
- Google Chrome browser installed
- An AlphaSense account
Step 1: Open Settings from your Chrome Menu Bar
- Click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of Chrome.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Go to Search Engine Settings
- In the left sidebar, click Search engine.
- Click Manage search engines and site search.
Step 3: Add AlphaSense as a Site Search
- Scroll to the Site Search section and click Add. A pop-up window will appear.
- You can set up one or both of the following searches:
A pop up box will appear, from there you can:
Option 1: Keyword Search
- Name: Search AlphaSense keyword
- Shortcut: keyword
- URL: http://research.alpha-sense.com/?&k=%s
Option 2: Ticker Search
- Name: Search AlphaSense ticker
- Shortcut: ticker
- URL: http://research.alpha-sense.com/?&tk=%s
Note: These are simple searches. You cannot combine keyword and ticker in a single search.
Step 4: Use Your New Search Shortcut
- In the Chrome address bar, type keyword or ticker.
- Press Tab to activate the custom search.
- Type your search term.
- Press Enter to open the results in AlphaSense.
Example
To search for the keyword “guidance” in AlphaSense:
- Type: keyword
- Press: Tab
- Type: guidance
- Press: Enter/Search in AlphaSense
