With Industry Comps in AlphaSense, you are provided access to:

Getting Started
- To view the Industry Comps module, click the Industry Comps icon in the lefthand toolbar.
- From the Industry Comps browse page, you can preview the companies, metrics, and KPIs included in each comp sheet.
- For example, Airlines sheets feature Load Factor and Passenger Mile Yield, Hotels sheets include Occupancy Rate and RevPAR, and Enterprise SaaS sheets cover CAC and Retention Rate.
- Click the star icon next to any Industry Comp in the list to add or remove it from your favorites. Favorited Industry Comps appear at the top of the browse page.
- You can also search by company or industry and filter by sector to help you more easily find the most relevant comp sheets.
NOTE: Company tickers are now included in the browse page's search index, so searching by ticker can surface the relevant Industry Comps table. Keep in mind that ticker search isn't yet exact-match, a table may also appear in results based on other matching fields.
Setting Up Your Industry Comps
- When you click into a peer sets, you’ll see the data grid with all the most relevant companies we’ve identified within an industry and our default set of metrics and KPIs.
- Use the filters at the top left of the page to narrow down the list to the specific comp groups, companies, or countries you’re interested in.
- Once your company list is set, the next step is choosing the data you want to display. Every industry includes a default view, but you can click Customize Columns in the top right of the screen to browse all available metrics and KPIs and select the ones most relevant to your analysis.
- Use the Select All or Deselect All options in the Customize Columns dropdown to speed this up. Your selections are saved automatically, so each Industry Comps page retains the columns and filters you last used.
Tip: Categories with a caret next to the name can be expanded to provide even more control over which metrics and KPIs you want to view.
If you’d prefer to work outside of the web interface, you can export the data to a formatted Excel workbook or unformatted CSV file for further analysis. Each Industry Comps table also includes an aggregates row at the bottom, showing aggregate statistics for every applicable column, matching what you'd see in the Excel view.

- An aggregate stats row now sits at the bottom of each table, bringing the familiar Excel export experience directly into the table.
