SuperAnalyst FAQs
How do I get started with SuperAnalyst?
- Head to the Generative Search tab. Once there, you will be able to open SuperAnalyst with a toggle on the top left of your platform.
- SuperAnalyst goes further than simply answering your questions, it can execute multi-step workflows, use Skills, write and run code, produce full deliverables, and retain memory of your projects and preferences across sessions. Ask SuperAnalyst to complete a task, a full workflow, or simply ask SuperAnalyst to help you get started.
What can SuperAnalyst do right now?
- SuperAnalyst can chat with you and take on tasks, use pre-built and custom Skills, write and execute code, create artifacts (HTML, Excel, Memos), and access AlphaSense search, financial data, and models within a persistent filesystem. And it has persistent memory, so the more you work with it, the better it gets at meeting your needs.
How do I know what SuperAnalyst can do?
- Just ask it — SuperAnalyst surfaces its own capabilities when prompted (e.g., "what can you do?" or "what skills do you have?").
What additional capabilities can we expect to see SuperAnalyst have? Can SuperAnalyst upload/use my own documents (e.g., a data room, internal model)?
- Our product team is still developing several SuperAnalyst features. Among the many things you’ll be able to do with SuperAnalyst at a later date are:
- Upload documents that SuperAnalyst can use for context, as additional resources, or as templates for deliverables.
- Connect to other tools, such as Outlook, Slack, your CRM, and web search.
- Automatic execution that runs on a schedule or reacts to market events and live-updating dashboards
- Additional formats: presentation-ready slides/PowerPoints and PDFs. We’re also working on bringing you more mature PowerPoint/Excel integration
- A cleaner task view (cosmetic only)—occasional internal technical labels may show up in the process trace while SuperAnalyst works.
- We cannot commit to when these capabilities will become available, our product team always takes into account feedback and shifting priorities.
What kinds of deliverables can SuperAnalyst actually produce?
- Interactive HTML dashboards, Excel models, reports and Word Documents — downloadable as PDFs — are currently supported. PowerPoint-ready outputs are not yet mature — we're actively improving formatting and quality — so we'd recommend treating PPT deliverables as a very rough first draft.
Can SuperAnalyst edit an artifact it has already created, or does it start over each time?
- It can open and edit the artifacts it created as long as you’re still working in the platform. Once you download the artifact, you can keep updating it with our AlphaSense for PowerPoint and AlphaSense with Excel plug-ins.
What is a "Skill"?
- A Skill is a packaged set of instructions — a prompt plus templates, reference files, and scripts — that tells SuperAnalyst exactly how to perform a specific recurring task consistently.
Who created AlphaSense’s pre-built Skills?
- Our team consists of subject matter experts — former hedge fund managers, private equity analysts, and investment bankers — to ensure each Skill fits into your workflows.
Do I need to build my own Skills to get value, or does SuperAnalyst come with any?
- SuperAnalyst comes pre-loaded with purpose-built Skills for common financial and strategic workflows. You can also create your own by describing what you want in natural language.
Can I share Skills with my team?
- Skill sharing is a planned capability, but it is not yet available.
What does it mean that SuperAnalyst has persistent memory?
- It can retain things like your coverage universe, companies you've researched, and formatting/communication preferences. Over time, it builds memory through your interactions or when you tell it something directly to ensure outputs match your voice, style, research universe, and formatting.
Is my memory/data used to train the underlying AI model?
- No. Memory is stored in a private file specific to your environment and never used to train the underlying model.
Can I see, edit, or delete what SuperAnalyst remembers about me?
- Yes. You can add, edit, or delete what SuperAnalyst remembers about you by clicking on “Customize” in the top right hand corner and then “Memory.” Or simply ask SuperAnalyst in natural language to edit its memory.
Is SuperAnalyst's output auditable, can I verify where information came from?
- Yes. Every claim SuperAnalyst makes from AlphaSense's research content — broker research, expert transcripts, filings, and more — is cited back to its specific source, with click-through citations in every artifact.
- Citations on financial data specifically are still being rolled out; until that's complete, we'd recommend independently verifying any financial figures before relying on them in a deliverable.
What happens to my in-progress work if SuperAnalyst is updated or changed mid-beta?
- Tasks you have with SuperAnalyst will be available as we continue to update or change SuperAnalyst.
Which AlphaSense content sets/data does SuperAnalyst currently have access to, and which are not yet included?
- SuperAnalyst has access to the same content that Deep Research has access to.
Can multiple people on my team use the same SuperAnalyst or share a project?
- No. SuperAnalyst operates on a per-user environment, which means whatever you work on with SuperAnalyst is only accessible by you, in your platform.
Will SuperAnalyst be available on mobile?
- SuperAnalyst is currently only available on our web platform. We will let you know once SuperAnalyst is available on our mobile app as well.
