Overview
Highlight Tags improves the note-taking experience in AlphaSense, empowering users to more effectively distill valuable and relevant insights during your research process.
Now with Highlight Tags in AlphasSense, you can annotate Documents by assigning custom labels to different colors to add text-based context to insights they've deemed relevant and highlighted.
Applying Highlight Tags
- Highlight a portion of text from a document
- Select a highlight color
Creating a New Highlight Tag
- Click the Add Highlight Tag button
- Type in a custom label.
- NOTE: You will be asked to determine if the label should be Private (only visible to you) or Shared (visible to you and your team)
- Attach a highlight color using the color drop down arrow
- Click Save
Editing a Highlight Tag
- To edit any highlight tag you created, you'll open the Highlight Tag Manager, by clicking the pencil icon.
- Click Add Tags
- Next, click Manage Tags
- There you'll have the ability to add new highlight tags, adjust color, and remove highlight tags.
Deleting a Highlight Tag
- Deleting a highlight tag does not delete past highlights that use that tag. It only removes the mapping from color to label.
Searching by Highlight Tags & Colors
- In the Vertical Filters menu, go to More Filters and click on Highlight Tags to filter your search on documents that contain a highlight with a specific tag.
- Retrieve back all documents that contain that tag.
- You can also filter by Color.
