After logging in, open Document Search by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the left toolbar.
Search Bar Navigation
Two search bars appear at the top of the screen:
Keyword Search (left) — Use this to extract trends and themes from documents across multiple companies.
Company & Ticker Search (right) — Use this to view all documents by or about one or more companies.
You can use either search bar independently or together to build your search.
Vertical Source Filters
Use Source Filters to narrow your search by broad content category (such as Company Docs or Broker Research) or by a specific content type (such as 10-Ks, Earnings Calls, or Initiation Reports).
Sorting Your Results
After running a search, you'll see the list of relevant documents on the left-hand side. You can customize the order in which these documents are shown by toggling the Source Sort that works best for you:
Relevancy Score (Score)
If you'd like to see the documents AlphaSense identifies as most relevant to you, select the "Score" option. AlphaSense utilizes a multi-factor input to reorder the documents based on which documents are the ones most relevant to you.
Date
If you'd like to see the documents that were published most recently, select "Date" and choose the "Order by Newest" option. This will put the newest and latest documents at the top of the list.
If you'd like to see the oldest documents on file, select the "Order by Oldest" option.
Pages
If you'd like to see the longest documents first, select "Pages" and choose the "Order by Most Pages" option. This will put the documents with the most pages at the top of the list.
If you'd like to see the shortest documents first, select the "Order by Least Pages" option.
Companies
If you'd like to see the documents organized by companies alphabetically, select "Companies" and choose the "Order by A-Z" option. This will order the documents by Companies in alphabetical order.
If you'd like to see the companies in reverse, alphabetical order, select the "Order by Z-A" option.
Source
If you'd like to see the documents organized by content source alphabetically, select "Source" and choose the "Order by A-Z" option. This will order the documents by source type in alphabetical order.
If you'd like to see the source types in reverse, alphabetical order, select the "Order by Z-A" option.
Sentiment
If you'd like to see the documents ordered with the highest sentiment score on top, select "Sentiment" and choose the "Order by Highest Score" option. This will put the documents with the highest overall sentiment rating on top.
If you'd like to see the documents ordered with the lowest sentiment score on top, select "Sentiment" and choose the "Order by Lowest Score" option. This will put the documents with the lowest overall sentiment rating on top.
If you'd like to see the documents ordered with the largest sentiment score change (compared to the previous call) on top, select "Sentiment" and choose the "Order by Most Change" option. This will put the documents with the largest change in sentiment from the previous call on top.
If you'd like to see the documents ordered with the smallest sentiment score change (compared to the previous call) on top, select "Sentiment" and choose the "Order by Least Change" option. This will put the documents with the smallest change in sentiment from the previous call on top.
Note: Only Event Transcripts have a sentiment score.
